The black and white Michele Obama dress has certainly been a popular item. We have ordered more and they will be available on the web site in September. Please check back then. In the mean time, we have some great summer dresses!

Hi Nicole,

Thanks so much for writing. I am a believer showing off curves in a flattering way instead of tyring to hide them. I keep this in mind for every dress I design. For a curvy figure and ample bust, I love the Sleeveless Plunge V-Neck Tie-Back and the Sleeveless V-Neck Waist Band Short dresses. They both flatter the bustline and accentuate the narrowest part of the torso. I am sure they would both look fabulous on you.

Dear Donna,

i am a size 4 petite brunette with about 30% silver in my hair....will be 60 next month..yikes i love your dresses....but not many in petites HELP my son is getting married in a year and I am already feeling panic as I have NOT been able to find a dress to FIT me in several years...that is a flattering style (I look horrid in empire waists), color (cool colors, clera, jewel tones),etc a long torso makes the high waist styles look even worse as they make me look like my rear is on the ground..... any thoughts?? thnx ps-congrats on all the press on the b&W dress!

Thank you so much for your email. You are in luck as I do have a petites line which you can see when you click “shop”, then select “petites”. It sounds like the Sleeveless Suprlice Shirred Front Short Dress in African Violet would look fabulous on you. The color is feminine and perfect for a wedding. This is the first time I am thinking to buy a dress online. I am 52 years old. Brown hair and am 5'9 and 128 lbs.I have a long torso. I usually am a size 4. Any suggestions on certain styles that will look be better than others? Thank you for your suggestions.

I am happy you emailed about your first online shopping endeavour. It sounds like you should accentuate your long, lean figure. I love sheaths for a tall woman – they play up height nicely while still looking feminine. The Spaghetti Strap Tie Back Short Dress or the Sleeveless Pleat Detailed Waist Inset Short Dress would probably work really well for you. First of all, I LOVE all your dresses. I'm going to a wedding next month and I'm hearing so many different "rules" for what I can wear. I'm the best man's date which is nerve racking enough without stressing over the perfect dress. It's an evening wedding, so my question is, is black appropriate? If not, what colors would you recommend? (blonde hair, medium skin tone) Thank you so much!

Hi Meghan,

Thanks so much for your compliments. Weddings are always challenging in terms of picking the right dress especially since so many of the old rules don’t apply anymore. The good news is that you can pretty much wear any color now, black included. Evening weddings tend to be more formal, so you may want to think about something strapless or with spaghetti straps. Red is a great color for blondes. Violet is also a great color for a summer wedding. You have lots to choose from. Best of luck!
